Let's Get Ready for Your Shoot!
Hey gorgeous!! I'm SO excited to photograph you! First off, shake any nerves (they're totally normal!). I've got you covered from start to finish and want you to rest assured that you are in great hands with me. Xo

Click below to grab the prep guide that will include a shoot timeline, what to wear guide, and all the details in between!

                  Boudoir Experience Guide

Wardrobe : The BIGGEST thing to remember is do NOT bring outfits you don't love! It's never good for me to hear my clients "I don't really like the way I look in this one, but I'll leave it up to you". If you don't like the outfit, you likely won't like photos of you in the outfit. So leave it at home! :)

This shoot is about YOU, not being someone you aren't. You can opt to wear lingerie or not - but make sure you're loving what you choose.

My Fave Pieces : You can never go wrong with a bodysuit - it could be a lacy piece or a regular ribbed bodysuit. Definitely bring along a thong because it's the most flattering for the booty shots. Structured pieces and solids look best on camera. Stick to form fitting pieces that show off your figure. I don't recommend bringing any babydoll styles, as they tend to make you look bigger than you actually are! Bring a pair of close-toed pumps! (Black or nude is great!!) They really elongate your legs, engage your muscles, and lift the booty!...which we all love!

Sizing : Make sure all pieces fit your body well! If wearing thigh-highs, buy them 1-2 sizes TOO BIG according to the size chart on the back!  Buying them in a size that supposedly "fits" according to the package size chart will likely result in the stockings giving a bit of thigh muffin top ;)  We can get them to stay up for each "pose", or you can wear a garter belt to keep them from slipping.

Prep : Make sure your wardrobe selections aren't wrinkled, and cut all the tags off of your sheer items before arriving. No costumes, props, or jerseys, please. They tend to be more "themey" and is not the style of photography that I specialize in.

                  What to Expect :

A couple of days before you shoot, you can expect to get a confirmation from me, just making sure we are on the same page about your makeup start time, shoot start time, and location...and I'll also ask if you have any last minute questions!

On the day of your shoot, your makeup will be done by my glam squad. You should have your face clean and moisturized when you arrive. Make sure to wear loose-fitting clothing while getting makeup done! While you're getting lovely, I will take a peek at your wardrobe selections and start putting together looks so we can get started when you're done in makeup! Once you're done with makeup, you can get into your first look and throw a robe on over it.

Once the shoot begins, you can expect me to give you gentle direction. I will not expect you to super model pose throughout your shoot - but I'll be posing you from head to toe, so no need to prepare any pose ideas beforehand :) I will show you what to do every step of the way.

The poses generally aren't very comfortable and your shoot will give you more of a workout than you anticipate. Get a good stretch in the morning of your session, and the evening after your session. It will allll be worth it!

Your shoot time will FLY by. That's a good thing!! That means it wasn't awkward or boring. Just the right amount of fun!

We will schedule your photo viewing so that you can see your best of the best proofs and order anything you'd like! You should be prepared to place your full order on the day of your photo reveal and ordering appointment. Most clients find themselves getting a large album as well as a piece or three of our fine art acrylic wall art.

Best Ways to Flatter Different Body Types :

*Curvy bodies- BRING ON THE FORM-FITTING ITEMS! I adore bodysuits, tight dresses, and nothing at all….especially for voluptuous bombshells. We often see curvy women trying to cover up more, but often that has the opposite effect they think it will. Allowing me to pose you so that we can see your figure and celebrate it is the way to go!

*Flat-butts- Thongs tend to make a butt look fuller than full-coverage bottoms or g-strings. Play around in the mirror with different styles to see what you like best! And don't worry, I'm a PRO at creating curves in posing where there aren't any otherwise! I can get a killer booty shot with any level of curve (or lack thereof).

*Shorter legs- High heels with a THIN heel rather than chunky! Avoid shoes with thick ankle straps or a square toe. Nude shoes naturally elongate the legs.

*Thin/no curves-  That’s all in the posing-girl! Form fitting options and nothing at all work great as I pose the heck out of you to make you look and feel bodacious.

*Small chest- Underwires and balconettes are lovely, as well as NO BRA AT ALL (my personal favorite for small chested women!) And also, small boobs rock. So please don't feel the NEED to create extra "oomph" unless it's something that really concerns you.

*Bigger boobs- Be sure to snag a bra with some support, or form fitting bodysuits that will keep them at bay. Posing will play a huge role here, and I’m really good at that.

*Surgery scars and stretch marks- Personally, I think they tell a story. Sometimes clients wish they didn’t have to be permanently reminded of that story, and other times, clients embrace their scars and say they’re a part of them. For this reason, I will never edit out a scar or stretch mark unless a client specifically requests it….and if they do, in fact, request that retouching, I will happily do that at no additional charge. This is a VERY personal topic and it’s not my decision to make. I welcome scars and stretch marks, but I also support a woman’s decision to conceal them if they would like!

                  Preparation Tips :

*Get a manicure and pedicure before your session - Chipped nail polish can be distracting!

*Plan ahead! The last thing you want to be on your shoot day is stressed from feeling rushed or late. Plan for traffic or anything that may put you behind!

*Get your beauty sleeeeep! Photoshop can't fix tired.

*BRUSH YOUR LIPS! - Dry, cracked lips are tough to fix in editing. In the days leading up to your shoot, use to toothbrush to brush your lips which will get rid of dead skin. After that, apply a moisturizing lip balm.

*If you're going to get a spray tan, go lighter! You do not want to see any lines or unevenness on camera. I don't recommend a self-tanner because you tend to see cracks in the hands and such. This can't be fixed in editing!

*No need for alcohol to calm the nerves - I totally get that you may think it'd best to have a drink or two if you are super nervous, but it's better to opt out! We want you to look present and fierce in your photos and the drinks cause bloating, which most of my clients typically don't want. Try a bubble bath or a yoga class the night before. We'll have non-alcoholic refreshments to offer you.

*Lather on the lotion!  Supple is key for beautiful skin! Be sure to moisturize twice a day for the week leading up to your shoot. On the day of your shoot, use a non-bronzer illuminizing lotion. If you're having a hard time finding an illuminizing lotion without color, you can absolutely just go with an oil based lotion like Argan Oil Moisturizer or Coconut Oil Moisturizer. Don't use tinted lotions or anything with color.   We will have some moisturizer at the studio for you to use if you don't have a lotion you love.

*Have a good stretch. Many of these poses, while they look effortless, are quite unnatural feeling. Take a few minutes on the morning of your shoot to stretch your arms, legs, hips, and especially your back. People are surprised to see how sore their muscles get after something as silly as a photo shoot, so any extra flexibility you can add by a quick yoga flow will only benefit you.

*Don't get a new haircut/color immediately before your shoot.  Now isn’t the time to experiment with a whole new look.

*NO NEGATIVE SELF-TALK ALLOWED.  I don't want to hear about how you hate your hips. I want to hear about how you LOVE your legs. A great attitude will go a long way in having a fabulous and upbeat experience! HOWEVER...if you really feel the need to discuss the thing that bothers you the most about your body, just let me know by saying "I love my ___, but my biggest insecurity is my ___". I will be extra careful to play down your "flaws"...but I will ALSO make it my challenge to take the best image featuring your ____ so you have a new-found appreciate for it ;)

Don't be nervous!!! Remember, you are not supposed to know how to "look sexy".  Every woman you've seen me photograph walked in not knowing what to do too! These women, just like you, at one point looked at the photos on my website and thought "Hmm..I know mine won't turn out THAT good since I don't look like a model, but I'm wondering how good she can make me look?" I don't toot my horn about a whole lot, but I am VERY good at this. I know women. I know women SO well, that I know exactly what they will not like in photos. I know exactly how to pose all types of women to look their ultimate best. I know my camera equipment and can use it to create beautiful and totally flattering images of ANY WOMAN.

You don't have to know what you are doing in the slightest. I will direct you every step of the way, from helping to you prepare for your boudoir shoot with wardrobe and styling tips, to posing every inch of you, to coaching your breathing through the session. You just need to show up and TRUST ME.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask and get ready to have so much fun!! xo
